Music Makers
8 through 12 year olds
Did you know music is a proven tool in improving kids cognitive function, social interaction, and educational retention? Let us help boost your childs growth through this great course! Formulated for 8 through 12 year olds, we will use instruments called boomwhackers to teach your child to read and perform written sheet music. This class will also boost their confidence by giving them a chance to perform all they have learned at the end of the semester with their classmates.

12 weeks
This program is broken up into three modules: Rhythm, Notes, and “Bringing it all together”. We spend four weeks on each topic using games, worksheets, and instruments. The final four weeks are spent learning their concert songs and preparing to share all they’ve learned.
Semester-end Concert
At the end of this 12-week course, your child will get the chance to share their learning through song at our company wide concert!
Hands-on activities
Our activities are designed to keep your child engaged, whether it’s learning how to read music, play as a group, or get the chance to perform with guest instructors and accompanists.
Homework & Practice
Using boomwhackers, each weekly class consists of fun learning activities and music to take home. They will also have weekly practice assignments and tracks to play along with on the student portal.
Lay a musical foundation
Everyone loves music! But it is so important to lay a musical foundation when a child is young. Music offers vastly more than just harboring creativity and expression. Studies have shown that music improves mental performance, coordination, and memory, among many other things. The concepts learned in this class will increase their growth of any instrument they may choose in the future, as well as heighten their cognitive function in the classroom!
$75/Month
*plus a $50 non-refundable enrollment fee per family due at sign-up, and a $30 concert fee due on the last month of classes. Mandatory participation in one fundraiser per semester.
